Midrin Availability - Bayview Pharmacy Can Help!

Midrin availability?  Midrin is available from Bayview Pharmacy as a compounded prescription.

Are you having difficulty finding Midrin at your local Pharmacy because of a manufacturer backorder? We can help! We have all of the ingredients to provide a compounded equivalent capsule.

Amneal Pharmaceuticals has discontinued the manufacturing of this medication and Macoven Pharmaceuticals and Acella Pharmaceuticals are out of stock.  It is uncertain as to when Midrin may be re-introduced to the market or how long this shortage will last.  Bayview Pharmacy, Rhode Island's premier compounding pharmacy, has the ability to compound Dichloralphenazone 100 mg/Isometheptene Mucate 65 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg Capsules during this period of manufacturer backorder

Why is there a Midrin Shortage?

There has been a Midrin shortage for some time now. The good news is that it is available as a compounded prescription here at Bayview Pharmacy.

There was a shortage of one of the ingredients in 2007. That was followed by manufacturing issues Caraco had a bit later. Finally, Caraco permanently discontinued Midrin.  For some time, Epidrin, Duradin, and MigraTen (all with the same ingredients as Midrin) were available. Currently, there are no commercially available versions of Midrin available.  This has caused most pharmacies to be out of stock.

Here at Bayview Pharmacy we have been able to purchase all of the active ingredients found in Midrin to offer a compounded alternative.

How much does compounded Midrin Cost?

We are contracted with most insurance companies in an effort to keep your out of pocket expenses low. Most often compounded medications are covered with a brand name copay. For current pricing please give us a call.
