There is currently a methoxsalen shortage. If you or your patients are having difficulty getting Oxsoralen® (methoxsalen) prescriptions filled at a retail pharmacy due to manufacture backorder, Bayview Pharmacy may be able to help.
Bayview Pharmacy, Rhode Island's premier compounding pharmacy, has the ability to compound methoxsalen oral capsules during this period of manufacture backorder. Prescriptions will need to be written with the request to compound. An example of how you might prescribe follows:
