PRESCRIPTION COMPOUNDING FOR HEMORRHOIDS

Hemorrhoids refer to a condition in which the veins around the anus or lower rectum are swollen and inflamed.  Hemorrhoids may result from straining to move stool, pregnancy, aging, or chronic constipation. The condition can be either internal (affecting veins inside the anus or lower rectum) or external (affecting veins outside the anus). Hemorrhoids affect both men and women.  About half the population will suffer from the condition by age 50.

There are several common treatment strategies, but most only offer modest relief or are unappealing.  Over the counter medications may be appropriate for hemorrhoids that cause mild discomfort, but they are rarely effective for more advanced cases.  Procedures such as rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy (injection), hemorrhoidectomy, and stapling may be effective, however they can also be unpleasant and uncomfortable, time consuming, and/or expensive.  These options leave most people wanting, and unnecessarily suffering.

UNCOMMON MEDICATION - UNCOMMON RESULTS

Bayview Pharmacy has been helping people who have been suffering from the discomfort of hemorrhoids for years.  Our unique suppositories (nicknamed the "Rectal Rocket" because of their shape) help to treat internal and external hemorrhoids simultaneously, do not get lost in the rectum, and help to heal hemorrhoids in 3-5 days.  The "Rectal Rocket" is a patented suppository that is only available to a limited number of pharmacies across the USA.

They are simple to use - just insert one suppository at night, before bedtime.

They are effective - because they contain a combination of prescription medications that help to relieve the pain, burning, inflammation, and itching associated with hemorrhoids.  They also allow the medications to stay in constant contact with the hemorrhoids while you sleep, providing you with overnight relief and healing.

They are very economical - We bill many drug insurances for the compounds we create, and most insurances cover the Rectal Rocket suppository.

For patients who are suffering from severe hemorrhoids we have the ability to compound a rectal ointment.  The ointment can typically be applied several times per day.  The ointment will typically shrink the hemorrhoids, so that the suppository can be inserted comfortably.  The ointment typically is prescribed as a precursor to the Rectal Rocket suppository.
