Dimercaptosuccinic Acid 50mg to 250mg Oral Capsules
Dimercaptosuccinic Acid (DMSA) is used to treat lead positioning and reducing autistic symptoms in some children with autism. Many children with autism have a reduced level of glutathione and reduced ability to excrete mercury, thus leading to lead positioning and symptoms of autism.
Take oral capsule dose of 10 milligrams/kilogram every 8 hours for 5 days; after 5 days, take oral capsule dose of 10 milligrams/kilogram every 12 hours for an additional 14 days. A course of therapy lasts a total of 19 days.
