General Information

Progesterone is an endogenous steroid and progestogen sex hormone involved in the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and embryogenesis of humans. It is used as a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) treatment to relieve menopausal symptoms, reduce signs of skin aging, and prevent bone loss that could lead to osteoporosis. Suppositories are used to treat abnormal uterine bleeding, infertility, endometrial hyperplasia, and amenorrhea.

Suggested Directions

Topical Cream:
Apply 1ml (2 pumps) topically once daily.

Topical Gel:
Apply 1ml (2 pumps) topically once daily.

Suppository (Vaginal):
Insert 1 suppository intravaginally 1-2 times a day beginning near the time of ovulation.

Capsule:
Take 1 capsule by mouth daily at bedtime.

Side Effects

Some side effects may include but are not limited to: headache, breast tenderness or pain, upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, tiredness, muscle, joint, or bone pain, mood swings, irritability, excessive worrying, runny nose, sneezing, cough, vaginal discharge, or problems urinating.

Storage

Keep Vaginal Suppositories in a refrigerator between 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C).

Keep Topical Cream and Gel at 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) and away from heat, moisture and light.

Keep Capsules at 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) and away from heat, moisture and light.

Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Throw away any unused medicine after the beyond use date. Do not flush unused medications or pour down a sink or drain.
