How Does it Work
When used as a topical gel, Urea 15%, more commonly known as PracaSil™-Plus, is an effective treatment for general dry skin. The active ingredient, urea, is a natural moisturizer that helps to draw water into the outer layer of the skin, softening and moisturizing the skin. In combination with other ingredients, such as emollients, humectants, and preservatives, PracaSil™-Plus works to replenish the skin's natural moisture level, reducing the discomfort associated with dry skin. It also helps to reduce scaling and roughness associated with dry skin. It should be applied as a thin layer to affected areas twice daily and should be gently massaged into the skin until fully absorbed. It should be used continually for optimal results. PracaSil™-Plus is generally well tolerated with minimal side effects, is non-comedogenic, and can be used by people of all ages.
Other Uses
Urea 15% / PracaSil™-Plus Topical Gel has also been found to be effective in treating minor cuts and scrapes, as well as to alleviate itching and reduce redness caused by insect bites. Furthermore, it may be used to treat symptoms of eczema, such as scaling and roughness. Finally, the formulation is effective in treating the dryness associated with psoriasis, which, in turn, helps to reduce inflammation and improve scalability.
