How Does it Work
Vitamin E 200 IU Base MBK™ Vaginal Suppositories are used to treat women's health conditions such as vaginal atrophy and dryness. The suppositories can be administered intravaginally, and once inserted, the Vitamin E is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream through local circulation. This allows the Vitamin E to reach the receptors of the vaginal tissue, providing direct action against the symptoms of these conditions. After oral ingestion, Vitamin E is metabolized in the intestinal tract and is primarily excreted in the feces, resulting in lower serum levels. However when administered intravaginally, the Vitamin E is delivered directly to the vaginal tissue, avoiding gastrointestinal absorption, resulting in higher serum levels. The higher concentrations of Vitamin E in the tissue can help to increase cell proliferation and reduce inflammation, helping to improve vaginal atrophy and dryness. Vitamin E is also an effective antioxidant, which helps to protect cells from further damage, and has been found to help protect against many different types of cancers, including ovarian and cervical cancer. Vitamin E also helps to reduce trans-epithelial water loss, which can help to improve vaginal lubrication and reduce the symptoms of dryness.
