Bayview Pharmacy is pleased to present our compounded formulation of Coal Tar Topical Solution 5%/Salicylic Acid 5% Topical Cream. This unique blend is specifically designed to address a range of skin conditions, such as psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and eczema. The dual-action of coal tar and salicylic acid works synergistically to alleviate inflammation, itching, and scaling that are commonly associated with these skin disorders.

The coal tar component of this formulation functions by decelerating the growth of skin cells, thereby reducing inflammation and itching. On the other hand, salicylic acid contributes by exfoliating the outer layer of the skin, which aids in reducing scaling and flaking. This potent combination of ingredients effectively mitigates the symptoms linked with these skin conditions.

This formulation is dispensed in a semisolid preparation via a pump mechanism, designed for convenient and controlled application on the skin. This allows for localized treatment or absorption of the active ingredients, ensuring maximum efficacy of the product.

It is recommended to apply this formulation to the affected area twice daily, or as directed by a healthcare provider. Please be cautious to avoid contact with the eyes, nose, and mouth when applying this formulation.

If you have any queries about this formulation or its application, please do not hesitate to contact us at Bayview Pharmacy. Our team is committed to assisting you in finding the most suitable treatment for your skin condition.

Compounded preparations have no NDC, so this formula will not appear in your EHR's drug search. Use your system's compound, non-formulary, or free-text prescription entry and name the preparation exactly as written in step 3. Compounded preparations have no NDC and will not appear in your drug search. For EPCS to validate, select a drug entry your EHR recognizes as controlled, usually the bulk powder entry for the active ingredient (for example Ketamine (bulk) powder, not a branded product), then put the full formula from step 3 in the prescription body.
