Urea 10%/Sodium Hyaluronate 0.5% Topical Gel is a specially compounded formulation designed to address a variety of skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, acne, and rosacea. This unique blend combines the active ingredients of urea and sodium hyaluronate, both of which work in harmony to alleviate the symptoms associated with these skin conditions.

Urea, a keratolytic agent, functions to soften and exfoliate the skin, aiding in the removal of dead skin cells and promoting the regeneration of healthy skin. Sodium hyaluronate, on the other hand, is a potent hydrating agent that helps to retain moisture in the skin, providing a protective barrier and promoting skin elasticity and suppleness. Together, these ingredients help to reduce inflammation, itching, and redness, providing relief and improving the overall health and appearance of the skin.

This compounded formulation is dispensed as a semisolid gel through a pump mechanism, which allows for easy and precise application on the skin. The gel-like consistency ensures targeted treatment and optimal absorption of the active ingredients, enhancing their efficacy and ensuring maximum therapeutic benefits.

It is typically applied to the affected area twice daily, or as directed by a healthcare provider. While generally well-tolerated, this medication may cause skin irritation in some individuals. Patients are advised to contact their healthcare provider if they experience any adverse effects.
