Compounded preparations are usually paid out of pocket. Some plans reimburse patients who submit an itemized receipt, and we can provide one with every fill. We quote the price before compounding starts so nothing is a surprise when the package arrives. Usually. Call 401-284-4505 with the name of the pharmacy holding the prescription and we will request it, or ask your prescriber to send a new prescription directly to us. You can also request a transfer online and we will contact your current pharmacy for you. A new prescription is often the simpler route, because the formula and strength come through exactly as the prescriber intends. Refills on controlled substances follow state and federal rules and may not be transferable.
