Our Niacinamide 4%/Sodium Hyaluronate 1% Topical Serum is a meticulously crafted skincare solution designed to address a variety of skin concerns. Its anti-inflammatory properties also make it beneficial for those with acne-prone skin, as it can help reduce redness and inflammation. By strengthening the skin's barrier function, niacinamide helps to retain moisture and protect against environmental damage, promoting a healthier, more resilient complexion.

Sodium Hyaluronate, a form of hyaluronic acid, is renowned for its ability to hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, making it an exceptional hydrating agent. This ingredient penetrates deeply into the skin to attract and retain moisture, leading to enhanced hydration and plumpness. The result is a visible reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, creating a smoother, more youthful-looking skin surface. Additionally, sodium hyaluronate's hydrating properties can aid in the repair of the skin's barrier, further contributing to improved skin health and appearance.

The serum is presented in a concentrated liquid form, allowing for precise application with a dropper bottle. This delivery system ensures that the active ingredients are applied directly to areas of concern, maximizing their effectiveness. The lightweight nature of the serum allows for quick absorption into the skin without leaving a greasy residue, making it suitable for use under makeup or in combination with other skincare products. This formulation is ideal for individuals seeking a non-invasive approach to skin rejuvenation, targeting signs of aging and improving overall skin texture and tone.

For optimal results, the serum should be applied to clean skin, ideally after cleansing and toning, and before the application of moisturizers or sunscreens. Regular use as directed can lead to significant improvements in skin health and appearance. As with any topical skincare product, it is recommended to perform a patch test prior to use to ensure compatibility with your skin. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the potential benefits of this formulation for your specific skin concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at Bayview Pharmacy. Our team of compounding pharmacists is dedicated to providing personalized care and expert advice to help you achieve your skincare goals.

Drug Interactions

A small arrow pointing down

The Niacinamide 4%/Sodium Hyaluronate 1% Topical Serum is a specialized skincare formulation designed to address various skin concerns such as wrinkles, dark spots, and uneven skin texture. Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, has been shown to have multiple benefits for the skin, including improving the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and dullness. Sodium hyaluronate, a form of hyaluronic acid, is known for its ability to hydrate the skin by retaining water, leading to a plumper, smoother appearance.

When considering drug interactions, it is important to note that this topical serum is intended for external use only and the likelihood of systemic absorption and subsequent interactions is low. However, caution should be exercised when using this serum in conjunction with other topical products that may alter skin barrier function or cause irritation. For instance, concurrent use with topical exfoliants such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) may increase the potential for skin irritation or dryness. It is advisable to introduce one product at a time to monitor skin tolerance.

Patients using topical retinoids or those with sensitive skin should be aware that combining these with niacinamide may cause irritation or redness, although many find niacinamide to be soothing. It is generally recommended to apply such products at different times of the day (e.g., one in the morning and the other in the evening) to minimize potential irritation. Additionally, niacinamide may affect the integrity of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) when used in the same routine, potentially reducing the efficacy of vitamin C. To avoid this interaction, these products should be applied at different times of the day or on alternate days.

It is also important to consider the use of this serum in the context of any dermatological treatments or procedures. Patients should inform their healthcare provider of all topical products they are using before undergoing any skin treatments. Lastly, while allergic reactions to niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate are rare, patients with a history of allergies to topical products should use this serum with caution and discontinue use if any signs of hypersensitivity occur, such as rash, itching, or swelling.

For prescribers, it is essential to review the patient's current skincare regimen and any medications to assess the potential for interactions. If you have any questions or require further information regarding the use of Niacinamide 4%/Sodium Hyaluronate 1% Topical Serum and its compatibility with other products or medications, please reach out to us at Bayview Pharmacy. Our team of compounding pharmacists is available to provide guidance and support to ensure the safe and appropriate use of this formulation.

How Does it Work

A small arrow pointing down

The Niacinamide 4%/Sodium Hyaluronate 1% Topical Serum is a specialized skincare formulation designed to address a variety of skin concerns, including signs of aging, hyperpigmentation, and dehydration. Niacinamide, also known as Vitamin B3, is a potent antioxidant that works by improving the skin's barrier function. This enhancement in barrier integrity helps to retain moisture and protect the skin from environmental damage. Additionally, niacinamide has been shown to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, lighten dark spots, and improve skin elasticity. Its anti-inflammatory properties also make it beneficial for those with acne-prone or sensitive skin, as it can help to soothe irritation and reduce redness.

Sodium Hyaluronate, a form of hyaluronic acid, is a powerful humectant that can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. When applied topically, it helps to hydrate the skin by drawing moisture from the environment and locking it into the skin. This intense hydration plumps the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and creates a smoother, more youthful complexion. The combined action of niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate in this serum provides a dual approach to skin rejuvenation: niacinamide strengthens and protects while sodium hyaluronate deeply hydrates and plumps.

The serum is formulated as a concentrated liquid, allowing for the active ingredients to be delivered in a more direct and potent manner. The lightweight nature of the serum ensures that it is easily absorbed into the skin without leaving a greasy residue. This makes it suitable for use under makeup or in combination with other skincare products. The dropper bottle packaging allows for precise application, ensuring that the right amount of product is used and minimizing waste.

For patients and prescribers considering this formulation, it is important to note that consistent use over time is necessary to see optimal results. The serum should be applied to clean skin, ideally after cleansing and before moisturizing. It can be used once or twice daily, depending on skin sensitivity and the specific needs of the individual's skincare routine. As with any topical skincare product, a patch test is recommended to rule out any potential allergic reactions. If you have any questions or require further information about the Niacinamide 4%/Sodium Hyaluronate 1% Topical Serum, please reach out to us at Bayview Pharmacy. Our team of compounding pharmacists is here to support you with expert advice and personalized care.
